Quorn Foods are delighted to be recruiting for a Sensory Kitchen Technician to join our Research, Development & Quality team, based in Stokesley.
The Role
Supporting the upkeep of our Sensory laboratory, you will demonstrate a relentless focus on sensory and food applications by adhering to good safety and housekeeping practices, specifications, standards and best practices.
Your primary duties will involve organising product preparation which will then be used for internal sensory testing. This will involve the cooking of samples which comply with set specifications, whilst being responsible for operating various appliances, equipment within the sensory lab.
The successful applicant will have:
- Familiarity with sensory evaluation/laboratory research testing protocols
- Background in food preparation, serving and assessment
- Good time management and communication skills
- Accurate attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Proficiency with IT with hands of knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- A passion for healthy, sustainable products which are better for our consumers and the planet – you don’t have to be a vegetarian to work for Quorn!
