EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Working closely with the Town Planning Manager, the rest of the land and planning team and a skilled supply chain, the key accountabilities of this role will include:
- Accountable for advising on delivery of planning consents and permitted development rights
- Accountable for advising on EIA issues in the delivery of a wide variety of infrastructure projects
- Accountable for advising colleagues on planning risk and requirements including advice and guidance across a wide variety of development projects
- Accountable for planning inputs to decisions around the use of Compulsory purchase powers
- Accountable for ensuring planning related process remain appropriate and up to date to support the changing needs of the business and in light of changing legislation and case law
Finally, you will actively manage internal and external stakeholders
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Apart from being a great fit for the team we’re seeking someone with:
Technical experience in town planning matters and environmental impact assessment regulations and practice.
A qualification in town planning and/or working towards Royal Town Planning Institute Membership.
Finally, we’re seeking someone who can work with our internal/external stakeholders to manage both risk and implications along with assessment and recommendations. The ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels, and a proven track record of managing uncertainty to deliver a successful outcome will be essential.
