Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant Operations and Customer Services Directorate (OCSD). Your role as Administrative Assistant will be to perform a range of administrative based tasks such as opening mail, inputting information and keying physical application forms into the system, scanning documents, as well as a minimal amount of telephone duties. You will also be responsible for handling and storing information securely, ensuring an understanding and adherence to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

You don’t need any specific experience or qualifications to join us, as full training will be provided.

DVLA is working hard to ensure we meet the needs of all our customers during these unprecedented times. We are looking for highly motivated, flexible individuals who are customer focused. • Working with others to open, process, input or scan applications, performing general administration and casework activities.

  • Offering help and advice to customers and colleagues in a timely and professional manner using various communication channels.

  • Supporting public safety & enforcement by capturing all data accurately and efficiently, minimising any potential risks against criminal activities.

  • Managing your own time effectively and prioritising workloads to meet performance and accuracy targets.

This is a general overview of what the job entails so individuals will need to be flexible and open to change to meet the needs of the business.

For a full list of responsibilities, please refer to the attached Role Profile.
