Senior Test Support Engineer – Module Test
Mission/Main Purpose of Job
Provide Senior Engineer-level support for production-critical Automated Electronic Test Equipment installed in Finals Production Cells at Eastbourne Product Company, in line with the current ongoing Production Capacity Ramp.
To identify EOL Test Systems and specify and commission long term replacement solutions to modernise our suite of test systems.
Execute various projects to aid in reducing FTTFR and increasing Test equipment resilience, flexibility, and capability
Main Duties/Key Skills & Experience
- Address and resolve problems with VB-controlled Automated Electronic Test Equipment installed in our Finals production cells.
- Carry out second-line trouble shooting in the event of test failures.
- Liaise with production team to support test fails.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify product or test equipment fault.
- In cases of problems with test equipment, put in place short term containment solution and plan long term resolution.
- Identify and implement long term solutions for high-risk equipment
- Continuous improvements to the test solutions in place for all modules / end products.
- Education level: Degree or HND in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
- The ability to read, understand and modify Test Programs written in one or more of the following languages will be highly desirable: VB6, VB.net, C#, LabVIEW.
- Strong knowledge of electronics theory and some knowledge of electronics design.
- Knowledge of In-circuit Testing (ICT) would be desirable, but not essential.
- The ability to write clear and precise specifications for replacement test systems.
- Other requirements: Good team working ability and interpersonal communications skills are critical.
- Flexibility to perform multiple roles as part of a small team. Outgoing personality and ability to identify improvements and effect change
