Key Accountabilities
We are looking for a competent and experienced Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join our site-based team. You should have experience in RF systems, infrastructure design (telecommunications support structures and buildings) with core knowledge in digital radio systems, LTE fundamentals, fibre optic transmission systems, networks, security access control & CCTV and general telecommunications exposure in the resource project environment. Key accountabilities are:
- Provide technical assessment and guidance to the construction team;
- Assist with managing the construction tasks for telecommunications activities
- Preparing, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling the design, implementation and optimization of telecommunications projects in the field of telecommunications engineering.
- Participating in design reviews in a collaborative team environment;
- Provide technical assessment and guidance to the communication and control systems design team;
- Ensure that the requirements of system engineering, safety, competency and quality assurance are being achieved for telecommunications scope;
- Liaise with the sub-contractors for telecommunications scope;
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all health and safety, quality and environmental legislative requirements;
- Designs, builds, configures and commissions devices, networks and systems and ensures systems interconnect with equipment from different manufacturers, service providers and users.

Education (qualifications, accreditation, training)
- Bachelor of Engineering in Communications and Electronics or equivalent
- At least 10 years’ experience in the design and implementation of wireless and fixed telecommunications systems
- Experience and knowledge in the construction of RF infrastructure, including buildings, towers and integration of technology systems.
- Strong knowledge of RF engineering design concepts and practices
- Complete working knowledge of Telco standards / specifications and operating procedures is highly desired.
- Experience leading all systems engineering activities for communications sub-systems in compliance with the Client’s requirements;
- Experience in reviewing product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications;
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
