Job Role: Senior Technical Engineer

Basic Salary: £45 000 - £50 000 Per Year (10% Bonus On Top Of Salary)

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Shift Pattern: Days - Mon-Fri / 7-3 or 8-4 (You Choose)

The Company

This company are a large and very well-established global manufacturer who are in the packaging industry.

The Role

  • To lead and coordinate technical aspects of production machinery and procedures.
  • To ensure efficient operation of machinery including meeting standards.
  • To coordinate with other departments to ensure these purposes are achieved.
  • This role is of a senior nature within the business and the Senior Technical Engineer is expected to take a leading part in there role.

The Responsibilities

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Managing and coordinating purchase requisitions, project documentation (eg cycle time trials, SAT’s FAT) & sampling to data review process.
  • Leading, coordinating, managing and supervising the delivery and sampling of new cells (robotics and assembly equipment).
  • Explore, assess, and initiate project engineering process across multiple technical disciplines internally and externally.
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality department & the Tool room.
  • Maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems, resolving problems.
  • Design and implement basic modifications to resolve machine problems.
  • Dismantle, inspect and overhaul equipment, as required by preventive maintenance program and production schedules.
  • Ensure documentation of repair and maintenance activities and quality checks.
