Here at DCK we are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist. This role is mainly remote but would require you to come into the office once a month (Billericay, Essex). This is a full time, permanent role.

Role Purpose
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the processing and analysis of the payroll process from start to finish, reporting to the Payroll Manager. You have a working knowledge of legislation within the UK and Ireland and the ability to run Managed Service Payrolls for the Channel Isles. You are detail oriented, have outstanding customer service and work collaboratively. An understanding of payroll reconciliations is also required and strong Excel skills. The main focus of this role is to serve as the subject matter expert for DCK’s UK and International payrolls.
Your responsibilities will include payroll processing, ensuring that colleagues are paid correctly and appropriate information is communicated, and payments made, to our pension providers, HMRC and other statutory and pension scheme bodies.
Responsibilities;
- Drive team performance and achievement of KPIs, in a positive and professional manner
- Ensure correspondence to all internal and external customers is managed in a timely, concise and clear manner
- Ensure all administration and systems are accurate and updated in a timely manner to enable department KPIs to be achieved in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations and timescales to produce the monthly payroll
- Communicate and collaborate cross functionally with other business areas, building relationships to complete tasks in a timely manner to ensure efficiency within the department and business
- Produce accurate regular and ad hoc reporting to internal customers as well as for own function
- Ensure that all statutory and voluntary payroll deductions and payments are made in a timely manner
You will have;
- 2+ years’ relevant experience in payroll function
- Experience with payroll in the UK a must.
- Other European countries are a plus.
- Experience with UK Pension auto enrolment.
- CIPP Certification a plus; Payroll Technician Certificate or above.
- Proficient in English language; verbal and written.
- Experience with ADP iHCM.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, a collaborative work style, open to coaching and commitment to get the job done.
- Ability to adapt to change and offer ideas for improvement to process.
- Experience with inquiries with the HMRC internal and external.
- Good with Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel.
