In a nutshell
As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will be responsible for decomposing high level business requirements into low level designs. These designs will then be progressed through Jira to an Engineering team to allow them to deliver an outstanding experience for our customers. You will work as part of an agile Engineering team, helping to build a high performing culture where quality matters and delivery happens at pace.
What you need to do
- We want you to lead engagement with business stakeholders and the project team members to identify and document technical / non-functional requirements while influencing the technical design working closely with Architects, Business Analysts and Engineers.
- You will provide expert guidance across a range of systems to support technical analysis and delivery activity during change assessment and requirement gathering.
- Ideally, we’d like you to leads, design and facilitate workshops to analyse, define and prioritise gaps in understanding of technical requirements, challenging thinking and agreeing outcomes to ensure robust requirements development and approved.
- You will define and manage the documentation of systems requirements (including requirements catalogues and traceability matrices) and support high, mid and low-level design as required.
- We want you to be involved in the resolution of technical analysis issues, identifying and driving mitigating actions against design risks.
- Along with other Senior Technical analysts, ensure that technical artefacts are documented and stored in a central knowledge repository during and post change implementation and is accurate, complete and available.
What you need to know and show
- You will have expert knowledge in translating business requirements into technical requirements, to a level of detail that can support technical delivery, both in the form of traditional technical requirements and user stories.
- You will have an understanding and experience of API / Service design and definition, ensuring that APIs are designed in a manner which allows them to become reusable, extensible, and future-proof enterprise assets
- Ideally you will have experience in designing API / Service schema definitions, with expert knowledge of JSON and XML data structures and definition / maintenance of enterprise canonical data structure using both.
- You must have experience of maintaining an enterprise level catalogue of APIs that promotes re-use across the organisation.
- Ideally the experience you have gained will be within a financial services context.
- You will have exemplary communication skills with the ability to engage and challenge stakeholders at all levels of the business.
