Salary: £92,000 to £115 000
Contract: Permanent
37,5 hours a week
Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + 31% bonus
Car Allowance - £700
Contributory Pension Scheme (Contribution double by Company up to 10%)
Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution

Job Summary:
As Senior Tax Manager you will maximize shareholder returns by supporting the services growth initiatives of Caterpillar’s business units across US, Europe, and Asia. This position is key for the on-going tax support to Caterpillar’s business units continuing international expansion through new business operating models to new markets, specifically located in emerging countries. Senior Tax Manager is responsible for supporting the Business managers and Senior management in structuring direct-service-model deals to global customers and supporting Business partners to manage tax risks globally on potential tax issues associated with their services activities.
What You Will Do:
- Provide specific guidance on tax issues involved in internal structural and transactional planning. Identifies tax-beneficial opportunities and implements work plans to achieve these benefits.
- Work with outside legal counsel and consultants to create, implement and manage complex tax strategies.
- Monitor, analyze and determine financial impact of critical proposed tax laws and regulations.
- Assist Senior Management with communications to Governmental Affairs, corporate coalitions and taxpayer organizations to influence legislators and lawmakers to support favorable legislation and regulations.
- Consult as tax advisor to Strategic Investments on stock or asset acquisitions or proposed divestitures
- Provide strategic tax advice regarding organizational and operational structures including implementation, integration, and post-acquisition/divestiture consulting.
- Work with Senior Leaders to develop and present strategies and arguments for tax appeals negotiations with auditors and legal departments.
- Provide strategic leadership in the completion of various tax and trade legal regulatory reporting requirements.
- Guide business managers and specialists providing advisory leadership in resolving highly complex and comprehensive tax issues.
The successful candidate must bring (Basic Qualifications):
- University degree, equivalent or relevant professional experience.
- Strong background in international tax consulting, transfer pricing and other relevant business experience
- Strong analytical skills are required to evaluate high-volume, disparate data points and integrate them to a logical conclusion.
- The candidate may be qualified as a Chartered Accountant, CPA, or other relevant professional qualification
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time across EAME region
Top Candidates will bring:
- Mix of Big 4 and Relevant industry experience (Oil& Gas or other industry with heavy international service components)
- Broad experience in public accounting and/or industry with experience in managing teams
- The ability to take an enterprise view and make decisions which serve the Global Tax strategy and enterprise needs
- The ability to anticipate or react rapidly to changes in the environment, absorb, and make sense of a broad spectrum of information
- Particularly intellectual curiosity, emotional courage, and demonstrating good business skills and judgement.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills coupled with a positive, can-do attitude
