The Talent team at Macmillan Cancer Support has big ambitions, and we're looking for an inspirational, inclusive, and creative leadership and talent expert to help us achieve them. We are focused on creating and delivering innovative and impactful development opportunities and experiences that will help our colleagues achieve their full potential and drive our strategy to do whatever it takes for people with cancer.
If you are passionate and knowledgeable about leadership and talent development, and want to work in a team where you'll be expected to innovate and trailblaze new ideas, this role could be for you. You'll be involved in leading a variety of new initiatives -including working with the business to create a leadership framework and associated development to support it, supporting the roll out of an organisational wide management development programme and launching a new approach to inclusive talent management. We think it's an exciting opportunity, and if you do too, we would love to hear from you!
Our ambition at Macmillan is to reach and improve the lives of everyone affected by cancer and inspire millions of others to do the same. This role is a fantastic opportunity to support Macmillan in attracting, retaining and developing a talented and diverse workforce to reach our ambition.
About the role
The Senior Talent & Leadership Manager will provide future-focused leadership and talent development across the organisation. Through impactful learning approaches, you will drive organisational performance and support the delivery of Macmillan's overall strategy. The role will be expected to use internal and external insights as well as the latest research and thinking on leadership development and talent management to inform the design and delivery of these solutions.
About you
You must be passionate about leadership, talent development and learning & development, with a track record of creating, delivering, and evaluating impactful programmes and interventions in a large organisation. In addition, a knowledge of digital learning, Agile methodology and talent pathways will be a huge advantage, but we're committed to developing the right candidate for the role to achieve their full potential.
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a team that is passionate about developing and helping people achieve their full potential?
Are you looking to build on your experience of designing and delivering innovative approaches to talent management and leadership development? If so, this could be the role for you.
About us
We help millions of people with cancer across the UK live life as fully as they can through physical, emotional, and financial support. Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions. Together, we do whatever it takes for people living with cancer, with heart, with strength and with ambition.
We are striving to do everything we can to ensure that our workforce is representative of the people we support and those who support us. We advocate for being an inclusive organisation where everyone can feel that they belong and where there are no barriers to success.
We want every individual to feel empowered to bring their best to work, and that's why we offer flexibility in our working locations, working hours and benefits so we can support you in your life and career ambitions. We offer a range of flexible working patterns, such as compressed hours, e.g. 34.5 hours in 4 days instead of 5, flexibility to work earlier or later around our core working hours of 10am-4pm and more options.
We welcome applications from everyone who meets the criteria and strongly encourage individuals to apply who have a disability, impairment or health condition or individuals who identify as Black, Asian or from another ethnic minority background, as these groups are currently under-represented at Macmillan. Our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, along with our internal employee representation body, ‘Our Voice’ and 8 Employee Network groups, help us promote fairness and belonging, becoming an engaged and inclusive organisation for all our people.
So we can support you to be your best during the application or interview process, please contact Macmillan People Services Team at [email protected] for advice and recruitment adjustments.
