The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Systematic Reviewer to join our friendly Systematic Review/Meta-Analysis team at Mtech Access. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in a dynamic and rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate would have a high work ethic, be team-oriented and hands-on in a varied role.
This is a permanent position based in our office in York or Bicester. Working alongside the Associate Director(s),role will involve a wide variety of duties as follows:

Acting as the designated lead systematic reviewer on projects, work autonomously to deliver robust and reproducible systematic reviews of a consistently high standard, across a varied range of therapeutic areas and a breadth of deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Stand-alone systematic reviews
- Health technology assessment submissions
- Global value dossiers/global reimbursement dossiers
- Manuscripts
- Abstracts
- Posters
- Contribution to all stages of the systematic review process including, developing searches, proposal and protocol development, screening for relevant studies, data extraction and report writing, and leading on projects
- Adhering to internal and client quality control measures and taking personal responsibility for the quality of your work
- As a member of a project team, actively contributing to the ongoing organisation and execution of projects, including timely communication with colleagues and clients, participation in meetings, note taking, and execution of relevant actions
- Effectively managing the input of support/junior project team contributors
- As a member of a project team, actively contributing to the intellectual design, planning and ongoing organisation and execution of projects, including timeline development, timely communication with colleagues and clients, leading specific aspects of client meetings, note taking, and execution of relevant actions
- Contributing to technical skill mentorship, including dissemination of skills and knowledge on- and off-project
- Contributing to functional team responsibilities
Requirements
Essential
- A life sciences degree or equivalent qualifications
- At least 2 years’ systematic review experience gained within a consultancy or pharmaceutical/medical device company
- Competent in developing and carrying out all aspects of systematic reviews
- Highly skilled in use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and EndNote (or other bibliographic software) and competent in use of Excel
- Fluent written and spoken English skills
- High level of integrity with a strong understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Capable of working in a changing and fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and an ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, positive attitude with an ability to find effective solutions to issues
- A commitment to ongoing learning of systematic review and evidence-based decision making methodology
- A high work ethic with a can do attitude towards management of priorities
Desirable
- PhD
- Experience of mentoring/supervision of other reviewers
- Experience or knowledge of medical statistics/meta-analysis
- Experience of HTA submissions
- Experience of proposal writing
- Experience of writing search strategies and performing searches of MEDLINE, EMBASE and PubMed

This is a permanent position that can based in either our York or Bicester (Oxfordshire) offices.
