Casual Worker - Lab Support

Are you Interested in Biohacking and biomaterials?
There is an opportunity for a keen bio-materialist for 2 days per week at ‘Natural Matters’,
our student facing bio-technical resource at the Royal College of Art, Kensington.
This will be a student facing role, monitoring and maintaining a safe working environment
and tending to and facilitating projects. It will require you to work with and support users of
the space using this resource to progress their Masters research. You will also need to work
closely with the Lead Technical Instructor responsible for this area and take regular direction
from them.
The two spaces that require your support and supervision are the Bioplastics Workshop -
where students can create materials from food waste streams and biodegradable
ingredients, and the Grow Room - for SCOBY and Mycelium projects.
To do this role, you will need to have experience and a working knowledge of Mycelium,
SCOBY, Agar and other bio based plastics. A biology background would be preferable but
not essential.
