Job description
We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our Chipchase House team, who can motivate, inspire, lead and have the resilience to deal with whatever each day brings. Chipchase House is a residential home for individuals with physical and learning disabilities whom require intimate personal care.
Chipchase House is busy and energetic service, full of laughter where no two days are the same. Our team has brilliant relationships with residents and never pass up the opportunity to brighten up their day. The residents we care for have a wide range of interests - from knitting and the cinema right through to rock music and high wire diving. We take great pride in being able to support our residents in achieving their goals.
It is important to be a real team player. Flexibility with an ability to adapt and respond to evolving situations is an important skill for our team that helps us maintain the highest level of care.
You will be part of a team of managers and other senior support workers directing, supporting, guiding and developing the staff to be the best support team that they can be for our residents. You will work closely with specialist roles within the organisation such as therapy services, links to Education and Day services as well as nursing support for those who have more complex medical needs.
To be successful you will have worked in a senior/supervisory role and previously in a care setting, understanding the importance routine and structure for our residents. You’ll also be committed to inspiring the people you support and helping make a positive difference to the lives of residents.
If you think this role would be perfect for you and you would be an asset to our team, we would love to hear from you!
