Blue Ribbon Health & Wellbeing is an innovative, pro-active and person-centred care provider of specialist support services for individuals with Learning Disabilities & Autism, who may exhibit behaviour which can be deemed as challenging. We currently have vacancies for Senior Support Workers at our residential service in Bolton to enable the individuals we support to access a full range of chosen activities and live an enriched and fulfilling life.
Seniors will supervise their teams whilst transitioning the people we support into their new home which will involve building trust and familiarity for the people we support to ensure their transition goes as smoothly as possible. Staff will be given the required induction, training and support to provide high quality support which shall enable the people we support to be safe, happy and flourish in their new environment.
You will lead a team of Support Workers to assist them in meeting the daily goals for the individuals they are supporting, oversea compliance, provide support to your team and need to be able to lead by example. You will also need to complete all documentation as required (including updating plans and notes), along with maintaining a friendly and professional approach even when managing complex and/or challenging behaviours demonstrated by the individual.
Applicants must be positive, possess a can-do attitude and have a genuine passion for providing effective support by utilising consistent approaches, working as a team and leading a team to support individuals who use our services to work towards positive outcomes whilst living a life which is full of colour.
Due to the role being at senior level this role would be suitable for those who have Support Worker experience and want to take the next step in their career or someone who is currently holds a Senior Support Worker position.
