You will join one of the teams supporting adults with learning disabilities in their own home. The Senior Support Worker is responsible for providing support and leadership and supervision to a team of Support Workers, in addition to providing practical help, care and support to the tenants.
As a Senior Support Worker, you should have experience of working as a Support Worker within a supported living environment, a good understanding of the principles of supported living and a commitment to supporting people to have meaningful control over their own lives, demonstrating approaches for inclusive practice.

You will have demonstrated commitment to your own development, completing the diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) You will have experience in developing support plans with people, and experience of facilitating person centred planning/ reviews.
An understanding of the MCA and the use of best interest decision making alongside experience of supporting staff in a supervisory capacity would be desirable.
