Department description
Fidelity International’s Global Procurement function provides Source to Pay and Third Party Risk Management services to FIL colleagues globally. It comprises approximately 95 colleagues, based across UK, India, Continental Europe, and Asia Pacific, overseeing spend of ~$700m in 26 countries.
The existing Procurement capabilities are being augmented with the creation of a new team to manage key suppliers across the Corporate Enablers (CFO, CPO and General Counsel) functions and, more recently, the addition of Marketing suppliers . The Senior Supplier Relationship Manager will work alongside the Global SRM Centre of Excellence (CoE), that are part of the same team, to ensure alignment and a drive towards best practice across all FIL supplier management activity globally.
Purpose of the role
With the addition of Marketing suppliers included in the Central SRM Teams scope, the senior SRM will ensure that the Marketing function manage suppliers in line with risk appetite, optimising post-contract value, and developing a transparently sustainable supply base.
The role holder will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders from across FIL to establish broad internal stakeholder relationships, drive value from, and manage risk within the Marketing supplier portfolio. These stakeholders include but are not limited to: senior executives across Marketing; Supplier Relationship Managers (SRMs) across FIL; Supplier Risk Oversight (Procurement 2LoD function); Senior Procurement Category leaders; and risk partners across FIL.
The SRM will use their experience of supplier risk and relationship management to create clear supplier strategies (commercial, contractual and risk) for a defined element of the Corporate Enablers supplier portfolio, and will ensure the requirements contractual obligations, Procurement policy, and business unit objectives are met and evidenced in regular routines.
About your role
The SRM is responsible for managing a defined portfolio of supplier services for Marketing, providing strategy, active engagement, and oversight to ensure:
- Marketing Accountable Executives have a clear view of supplier portfolio performance and policy adherence across all supplier relationships, with additional insights through supplier scorecards, relationship summaries, and performance updates.
- FIL implements appropriate strategies to achieve commercial gain (quality, value, efficiency) through its dealings with key suppliers (delivered in collaboration with Sourcing and business stakeholders).
- Suppliers perform to contract, across all active engagements, with services delivered to the required and contracted time, cost and quality requirements. Facilitate and manage performance, risk remediation, and improvement planning accordingly.
- Spend within contracts reconciles to the contractual commitments across all supplier relationships.
- All risk factors remain within tolerance. Working with risk SMEs across FIL (InfoSec, ABC, DPIA, Business Continuity, Op Risk, ESG, Cloud Risk), facilitate and oversee assurance reviews, with any gaps identified managed, tracked, and remediated via performance reviews.
- Suppliers are managed in line with FIL supplier risk methodology and Procurement policy, at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Supplier risk events are managed in line with the FIL enterprise risk framework.
- Contracting and relationship management is in line with the companies strategic Outsourcing objectives.
- Suppliers are managed in line with all relevant local laws, rules and regulatory requirements.
- Critical suppliers with client impacts are treated with appropriate rigour and oversight, in line with FIL Critical Oversight requirements.
- Alignment of suppliers to FIL ESG objectives, with active participation in our Responsible Sourcing programme, and facilitation and oversight to remediation of any gaps identified.
The SRM will be part of a team of 4 FTE in UK / Ireland / CE, forming a broader community with ~5 colleagues in India who will undertake common supplier management tasks and providing CoE support.
The SRM will demonstrate behaviours which meet FIL’s core values, evidence an ability to work collaboratively across FIL, and role model leadership on key programmes such as ESG.
About you
- Previous experience as a Supplier Relationship Manager is essential, with at least 3 years SRM financial services experience desired
- Experience as a Marketing Supplier Relationship Manager or within a Marketing function is required
- Experience of working within an Enterprise Risk Management framework model, with knowledge of the 3LoD model.
- It is essential the role holder demonstrate behaviours aligned to FIL’s Values and Behaviours
- It is desirable for the role holder to have sound knowledge of key global regulations pertaining to Outsourcing and controls.
- Commercial awareness and ability to partner with Procurement to negotiate fees and contracts
- Enthusiastic, self-driven and with a high level of self-motivation to overcome obstacles and a strong desire to make things happen
- Strong personal presence, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to establish a successful rapport, communicate and influence at all levels
