We’re looking for a Senior software engineer with architecture experience to join the Managing Investments Stream, SMA & Trading Platforms crew within Asset Management to:

We’re looking for a Senior software engineer with architecture experience to join the Managing Investments Stream, SMA & Trading Platforms crew within Asset Management to:
- work closely with cross-functional team members in a pod or crew to improve (digital) products and journeys iteratively and continuously in line with our Digital Principles and architecture goals
- support, maintain and develop tools that integrate with core platforms, delivering value to business end users
- work as a full stack developer and design, implement and deliver into production complete solutions
- support the pod and crew in identifying and designing suitable architectures in different layers e.g., enterprise architecture, data architecture, solution architecture, technology architecture.
- collaborate with other architects to define architectural goals and standards and manage temporary solutions and technical debt remediation
- play an active role in consulting product owners on translating OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) into backlog items and include architectural improvements into the technology roadmap

You’ll be working in the Asset Management, Managing Investments stream in London focusing on shaping the architecture and driving the cloud migration of our Separately Managed Account platforms covering Equities and Fixed Income.
This is an exciting opportunity to modernize, rationalize and simplify our technology landscape, application portfolio and surrounding processes. Your expertise
- experience gained as an architect/software engineer within the finance sector
- proven hands-on delivery of cloud solutions
- four year bachelors degree or the international equivalent in computer science , math, engineering , physics or MIS related degree
- extensive application development experience within a financial services organization
- experience with Linux, UNIX and Windows desktop environments
- experience with relational databases, preferably Sybase, MS SQL, or Oracle
- experience with programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Perl, SQL, Shell Scripting
- practical experience with Source code control systems and release management techniques
- the ability to work with both Front and Middle Office business staff to define requirements and build plans to deliver solutions
- proven experience in a development role within the financial industry, preferably facing off to Front/Middle Office personnel and other application users
- experience working in a globally distributed team and environment
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- exceptional problem solving skills and independent thinking
