BAM FM are recruiting a Senior Site Manager to be based in Camden. This is an FM Senior Site Manager role and you will be required to deputise in the Facilities Managers absence.
Working hours will be 8am – 5pm with the occasional late shift starting at 11am and early starting at 6am to cover for team sickness and holidays.
Your mission
To assist in the day to day delivery of the Camden BSF PFI contract ensuring we comply with all contractual and internal requirements.
Deputise in the absence of the Facilities Manager in all aspects of the Camden FM contract- Dealing with all FM related issues and delivering the initial services.
- Setting up of the FM processes and in particular soft services.
- Support the recruitment of local staff.
- Day-to-day management of the site team, & supply chain partners.
- Liaison with the Authority / SPV/school on operational, financial and commercial issues.
- Interface with the helpdesk and administrative support team.
- The expectation of the Facilities Manager is that the Senior Site Manger must be able to solve all contract related problems and issues.
- Ensure that all H&S and compliance reports and processes are managed and up to date.
- Support the Facilities Manager with the planning and delivery of lifecycle Plan.
- P&L managed at this level and the core objective is to support the account on a day-day basis, ensuring KPIs are achieved.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Agree, develop and maintain the FM quality standards.
- To ensure the safe, correct and economical use of equipment and materials in the delivery of the Services FM quality standards.
- Recruitment of additional staff
- Prepare with the Facilities Manager an annual business plan and budget for the contract portfolio.
- Carry out regular monthly reviews of P&L accountability
- Manage supply chain partners effectively both financially and commercially. Ensure all BAM FM procurement processes and procedures are followed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with all the Authority departments.
- Maintain accurate site contract administration files.
- Management and close supervision of BAM FM staff, as well as supply chain partners.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff, developing skills matrix and development plan
- Take ownership of projects and provide support as and when required.
- Ensure correct skill & competence levels of the team to meet the contract scope.
- Work with the FM in the preparation of the monthly report for the Facilities Manager and Authority, listing all relevant site based activities that occurred during the month.
- Be conversant with all statutory compliance processes and procedures.
- Develop sustainable initiatives, processes and strategies.
- Ensure that all BAM FM policies, procedures and standards are in place and adhered too.
- Act as customer liaison, developing relationship working towards account development.
- Carrying out other appropriate duties as requested to maintain efficient running of the site operations.
- Flexibility to attend site at irregular hours as required to delivery service delivery and to work with the team members who have a varied start/finish time throughout the day
- Attend other BAM FM sites/Offices as required in the delivery of this service
Who are we looking for?
- At least 6 years experience within a similar management role ideally in a mechanical facilities discipline.
- Soft and Hard Services management experience
- Management and leadership training
- Coaching / Development
- Good IT skills including excel & word.
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership qualities.
- A good Level of interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
