Senior Engineer/Site Engineer
A leading Tier 1 contractrorequire an experienced Site/Senior Engineer to joing their project team on a £250m residential project close in Wembley, the overall project comprises over 700 apartments over 6 cores. In-situ RC frame with pre cast facade and large external landscaping areas.
Working with a team of engineers on the RC frame. Project has commenced and is currently coming out of the ground
Quality checks, safety management, progress reporting, setting out and management of specific element of the structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that site and graduate engineers take responsibility for the management of survey equipment
- Ensuring the engineering team completes as-built surveys for key elements. Understands key tolerances and can analyse details across several interfaces to highlight potential problems
- Able to complete health and safety inspections, aiding and support to graduate and site engineers
- Competent in the principles of quality control for most packages. Can review and create Inspection & Test Plans. Can readily display advanced knowledge of key packages such as concrete, drainage, steelwork, and brickwork
- Has a good awareness of the project specifications, In particular tolerances for vertical and horizontal structural elements
- Controls the components of the Non-Conformance procedure. Is comfortable in creating and closing out Non-Conformances. Understands the cost of defects and remedial works. Works actively to close out NCR’s in a timely manner
- Can review (and create) method statements and risk assessments
- Works collaboratively with other sub-contractors engineers. always Utilising his/ her experiences
- Develops the project logistics plan and has input into establishing the programme to completion
- Can work and lead where necessary engineering teams of various sizes and abilities
- Assists the project design manager in the design approvals process and establishing benchmarks and samples
- Supervising and mentoring Engineers, Graduate and Trainee Engineers
Experience & Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Is competent in the use of digital information systems i.e. A-Site, Viewpoint for Projects™ etc.
- Significant experience in the design management process
Qualifications / Training
- Managing Safety in Construction training
- First Aid.
- Possibly B.Eng/ M.Eng.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
