IT Services is responsible for providing academic and administrative computing, networking and applications, audio visual and media services along with support for centrally managed teaching space.
The Service Desk is a central point of contact between IT Services and BU end users, providing 1st line technical support on all IT related matters with the aim of resolving the majority of incidents and requests at first point of call by using diagnostic techniques, administrator rights and remote access tools.
A position has become available to join and support the Service Desk Team. You will provide a high quality, customer focused interface to IT Services via telephone and electronic communication for a community of approximately 2000 staff and 15000 students. You will communicate with users, keep them updated on the progress of incidents or requests and notify them of impending changes and agreed outages.
The Senior Service Desk Analyst role has extra responsibilities to that of the Service Desk Analysts and provides additional support to the Service Desk Supervisor. In this role you will be responsible for helping to train new starters and the continued mentoring and coaching of all team members.
This position is available on a fixed-term basis until 11 June 2024.
