IT Support Engineer Robert Half have partnered exclusively with an established Construction & Facilities Management business based in the Castleford area. They are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-oriented individual who can provide exceptional 1st/2nd Line IT Support to employees, ensuring smooth operations and resolving technical issues efficiently. Responsibilities: Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related queries and issues, providing timely and effective support to end-users. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems, escalating complex issues to appropriate teams if necessary. Order, Build IT equipment including Mobile Phones and Laptops Provide general 1st line IT Support to a variety of internal customers Office based with some travel Provide 1st class telephone and ticket based support Produce high quality internal documentation for a number of systems Create and manage internal knowledgebase Take ownership of ticketing system (FreshDesk), drive change, implement good standard of reporting and maintain SLA's Be involved in wider group projects Requirements: Proven experience in providing 1st/2nd Line Support in a similar role, preferably in a Windows environment. Solid understanding of core Windows Desktop/Server infrastructure and associated business applications. Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and commonly used office productivity applications. Knowledge of user account management, access control, and security best practices. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users. A customer-oriented approach with a strong focus on delivering exceptional support. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
