As a Senior Security Supervisor and a member of the security team you are responsible for the eyes and ears of the premises, not only from an evidential perspective but also as overwatch for all potential risks and hazards that may occur within the demise of the contracted site.
You should be both welcoming and a representative of the ‘five-star’ feel of the premises and the client we are representing in all interactions, emails or phone calls.
The Senior Security Supervisor provides an essential line management and support role to the Security team. You are responsible for supervising the other officers on shift, ensuring that they are safe, secure, confident and performing well in their role. You will always be expected to lead by example, ensuring that the environment is not only running as smoothly as possible but exceeding expectations. You will work closely with the tenants, visitors, contractors and public ensuring they are dealt with efficiently and promptly ensuring their transition through the site is a pleasurable experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for actively monitoring the health safety and welfare of all employees on site
- Acting as liaison with the client and emergency services during all incidents
- Ensuring Front line officers and the Control room team are fully conversant with procedures of the site
- Conducting staff checks, report writing and disciplinary hearings for your team
- Conducting audits on reporting
- Daily occurrence logs and Incident report writing when or if necessary
- To oversee the health, safety and welfare of all visitors and staff within the premises
- To work in tangent with the other service partner teams
- To have awareness of the client’s business
- Key and equipment log management
- To ensure your team is pro- active and fully manned at all times required, working alongside the Head of Security to ensure the team scheduling is up to date
- To assist in managing the incident management platform(Everbridge), ensuring all reports, notifications and tasks have been completed
- Playing a key role in all emergency incidents on site according to the emergency procedures.
- Identify and address any training requirements of your team and keeping the Training Matrix up to date and/or escalate any issues identified to the Security Manager
- Leading Daily briefings with the security team
- To have complete competence in all positions including Control Room, Loading Bay, Post Room and patrolling. Reporting of issues such as identifying any potential hazards or defects, that might impact on Daily Operations of Security of the building.
- To develop an excellent understanding of the site emergency procedures and deliver regular 1-1 training with the security officers and keep the training matrix up to date
- To cover officer breaks according to the security position schedule
- Responsible for staff service and uniform standards 24/7. Ensuring there is no drop in standard between days/nights/weekend by giving strong and clear handover messages to the oncoming teams
- To provide cover for the Security Manger whilst on annual leave
