Job description
NVIDIA has continuously reinvented itself over two decades. Our invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing. NVIDIA is a “learning machine” that constantly evolves by adapting to new opportunities that are hard to pursue, that only we can tackle, and that matter to the world. This is our life’s work, to amplify human creativity and intelligence. Make the choice to join us today.
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior RTL Analysis Methodology Engineer to join our Logic Design Implementation team. The team develops and supports static RTL verification methodologies using technologies such as Lint, Clock Domain Crossing (CDC), Reset Domain Crossing (RDC), and Formal (static sign-off). As part of the VLSI organization, our team defines advanced methodologies used for every NVIDIA chip. NVIDIA chips push the industry limits of technology and performance for GPU, CPU and SoC markets.
What you’ll be doing:
- Serve as in-house expert for static verification EDA tools
- Act as liaison between ASIC designers and EDA vendors.
- Analyze issues, create solutions or workarounds, and provide testcases.
- Evaluate new EDA tools and features and advance verification methodologies.
- Contribute to new design flow development.
- Write technical documents and train internal users.
- Set up and maintain flow regressions and QA.
- Utilize data collection, analysis and reporting tools to provide methodology insights.
What we need to see:
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience), MS preferred
- 3+ years minimum experience with tools and methodologies for ASIC design and verification.
- Direct experience with EDA tools for RTL static checking and verification such as Lint and CDC.
- Strong familiarity with System Verilog and Tcl. Python or Perl knowledge.
- Debugging and problem-solving. Experience working with EDA vendors to resolve problems.
- Very good communication skills
- Synthesis and Equivalence Checking experience is helpful.
