Job description
Who we're looking for
Reporting to an Investment or Fund manager in Real Estate, your role is supporting a client-facing team within the Real Estate Investment and Asset management function. Schroders Capital Real Estate is seeking an analyst with strong analytical and data handling skills to work across a number of UK real estate funds with particular focus on a new mandate for a large mixed use asset. You will be responsible for modelling fund level projected performance, asset level business plans, cashflow and income projections. You will also be inputting into investor and internal reporting preparations and coordinating approval processes.

We adopt a research-driven and market-focused investment approach. Our dedicated Real Estate Research team identifies those sectors, cities and real estate characteristics expected to outperform, ensuring portfolios can benefit from structural change.
The bases
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018, we are close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. In addition we have a growing office in Manchester where 12 UK real estate staff are based.
- Developing business plan cash flows on selected funds and assets.
- Preparing and updating the excel and proprietary software-based quarterly fund models – analysing income projections, cashflow requirements, market and transactional impacts
- Managing monthly fund capital expenditure schedules
- Providing assistance to the relevant fund manager on portfolio analyses and statistics required for investor reporting and helping to draft quarterly fund reports and monthly activity updates.
- Analysis of potential transactions and asset and development scenarios and assisting to prepare presentations and/or recommendations
- Assisting the fund manager in the oversight of the fund(s) liaising with the asset management and operations teams.
- Control over asset/ fund level tenancy and sustainability data. Provision of data to client and valuers as required.
- Property analysis experience with excel modelling skills – potentially RICS or equivalent qualification
- Understanding of the fundamentals of property performance and potential value creation in property.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written – ability to communicate both internally and with clients in a concise and accurate manner, and to synthesise data and create clear outputs and analysis
- Experience working with and analysing data potentially at both tenant, asset and fund level
- Strong technical skills including Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
