Howdens are looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner who has the experience and ability to succeed in a changing and fast-moving manufacturing environment. This Finance Business Partner role is permanent, full-time position, with a blend of office and home working, based at our Howden office in Yorkshire. In your Finance Business Partner role, you will work on the development of a proactive approach to improve stock management across the business and your focus will be to deliver a significant improvement to our stock turnover. This is a great opportunity for you to play a key role in our busy finance team, through world-class service, as part of the UK’s number-one Trade Kitchen Supplier.
What will I be doing?
- Influencing stakeholders across our Supply Chain to reduce excess stock and improve stock health
- Providing insight and analysis to highlight opportunities to optimise stock holding and minimise costs in the Supply Chain
- Developing stock budgets and forecasts
- Evaluating the stock impact of product introductions and discontinuations, identifying stock at risk, and driving activity to reduce the cost of change/exit
- Ensuring the Group stock provision is accounted for accurately, in line with both Group policy and IAS accounting standards, and clearly explained to the external audit team
What we are looking for:
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Demonstrable experience working within a commercially focused role
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills
- Exceptional relationship builder with strong stakeholder engagement capability
- Highly analytical with data manipulation skills
- Organised, able to prioritise daily workload and manage multiple projects
