JOB OVERVIEW: Senior RF and Electronics Engineer sought by exciting market leading R&D microelectronics systems company (PLC) who provide pioneering electro-mechanical solutions to the automotive and aviation sectors including household name customers!
Contract type: Permanent
Salary : £60K-£85K basic (depending on experience!) plus share options plus bonus, pension, health, dental, life, free parking etc.
Location: Bicester office 5 days per week.
Start date - Flexible
Working conditions: Normal office and light workshop environment.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior RF & Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior RF & Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing RF and electronic systems, components, and equipment for a variety of industries. You will lead and mentor other engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, this appointment offers the ability to have significant influence within a small and dynamic company commercializing its technology to several markets and applications. The appointment brings with it the ability to use a wide range of experiences and knowledge, while at the same time, working within a creative team.
Current applications of my clients RF engineering technology include torque systems for Electrical Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), motor racing driveline shafts and aircraft torque systems for aerospace engines and airframes.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- PHD, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in RF and electronic engineering, with a proven track record of designing and developing successful RF and electronic systems and components.
- Demonstratable understanding of RF engineering within the UHF bands which includes antenna design, receivers and transmitters, familiarity with standard RF test equipment such as spectrum and network analysers.
- Good understanding of electronic circuits, circuits with microcontrollers and DSP algorithms.
- Proficient in simulation and using analysis tools, such as Cadence, ADS, HFSS, MATLAB or COMSOL RF, and experience with CAD software, such as Altium.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a small team of engineers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as FCC, ITU, and MIL-STD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and propose solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Producing technical reports, prototype specifications and other technical documentation.
