Job description
Salary range: £44,747 - £46,040
Permanent, full-time role at 35 hours per week

ActionAid UK is a member of the ActionAid Federation, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty.
As part of the ActionAid Federation, we work with women and girls, our partners, and dedicated staff in 43 countries to end violence and fight poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Resilience and Climate Adviser to sit within our Humanitarian team. They will support our resilience and climate programs and help to lead the organisation's policy and research work in these areas. We are looking for someone who can bring a strong feminist, anti-racist and decolonial perspective to their work and their expertise in resilience and climate change.
This role will have the opportunity to shape ActionAid’s work in these areas going forward and build strategic alliances internally and externally that can further the organisation’s objectives. The ideal candidate will be at the cutting edge of thinking on resilience, anticipatory action and climate change from a humanitarian perspective. This role will require frequent travel, often to fragile and complex settings.
Please note: We are based in London and have offices in Farringdon and Somerset. We are currently piloting a hybrid working model and you can agree the days you work at home with your manager, however, you are expected to attend team meetings and other events in-person, and as requested. Also bear in mind the rules around hybrid working may change when the pilot ends.
ActionAid is committed to supporting flexible working. If you would like to discuss flexible working options, including the possibility of a job share for this role, there will be space to do so during the interview process.
We are committed to continually improving the diversity of our workforce and therefore encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQI+ community - including the trans community, and those with a disability.
