We are a long established family owned business with an excellent reputation for providing high quality care placements for young people aged between 5-18 years with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals to join our management team.
Key duties and responsibilities
To assist the Registered Manager in maintaining the current high standards of the care home. You will be required to work some evenings, weekends and undertake on-call responsibilities on a rota basis.
Personal and Professional attributes:-
- Committed to working with children and young people with complex and challenging needs.
- Creative and able to use your own initiative and manage in challenging situations.
- Enthusiastic and highly motivated to promote an outstanding and inspirational service.
- Possess good written, IT and communication skills and the ability to produce high quality reports and planning documents.
Key responsibilities:-
- Ensuring that all risks are safely managed in line with the home’s policy and procedures.
- Be the case holder for designated children and oversee individual planning.
- Support staff with their own case work and ensure this is completed to a high standard.
- Supervise a team of residential workers and deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- Motivate and engage with young people and be a good role model - encouraging them to make positive choices.
- Be able to address standards of behaviour from young people in a calm and non-confrontational way.
- Help maintain a safe, clean environment and promote wellbeing including healthy meals etc.
- A flexible approach to working hours (with ability to work hours to meet the needs of the business) and support an on call out of hours service.
Other requirements:-
- Diploma Level 3 (Children's and Young People Workforce) or NVQ level 4.
- Ideally a Level 5 in leadership and management or a commitment to achieve this.
- A minimum of one years supervisory experience in children’s residential childcare.
- Full driving licence is preferred.
- The post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
This position would suit someone who has previously worked in a similar role or an experienced senior worker looking for a new challenge and career progression.

Salary: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
