We are currently working with a fantastic agency who is looking to build up their Qualitative Practice and requires an experienced Research Manager to join their team as a result.
Working within the Media, Entertainment & Lifestyle sectors the agency has an enviable established list of clients and a great reputation. Due to another highly successful year and with future business growth forecast they want to build out the Qualitative team to compliment their highly established Quant team.
As the Research Manager, you will manage the qualitative elements of the larger studies whilst also run some standalone projects. Supported by the Management team you will also have the resource of some great junior researchers. With an established workflow this is a great opportunity being provided here as they want an individual to be able to grow as the division itself does..
This role requires an individual to bring their experience and ideas to the qualitative studies so its essential that you have gained relevant qual experience within another agency. Having some mixed method experience, including some exposure to quantitative work, would be a bonus as many of the studies you’ll be working on involve more than just qual!

Responsibilities of the role include:
· Lead Qualitative aspect of studies, applying the right research methodologies and approaches for specific objectives
· Work, alongside a Senior Research lead, on response to client briefs, digging into market themes and knowledge to ensure proposals are relevant and informed by providing context
· Assist with the design of studies and project plans to ensure the relevant questions are being asked and the best methodologies used
· Assist with writing reports, working with the project team to identify the themes and insights of a study
· Attend client meetings, present studies and start developing exceptional client relationships
· Manage and mentor more junior members of the team
Ideal candidate:
· A strong background in qualitative market research (or similar field), ideally having worked in an agency environment where you’ve proved yourself as a trusted client advisor.
· An understanding of quant and/or other methodologies would also be beneficial
· Ideally experience of managing people, supporting them to deliver client work to a high standard and in accordance with deadlines.
· Be able to take a novel approach to situations, being pragmatic and driven
· A genuine interest in the world around you - people, their behaviours and culture.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and powerfully on point, with experience of presenting to clients
· Strong eye for detail, consistently produces work to exacting standards
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
