Job Title: IT Technical Support
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £24k - £27k per annum (DOE)
Working Hours: 8.30am – 5.15pm (Monday-Friday)

What will you be doing?
Our IT team is currently made of 3 team members who underpin the whole operation at Greenmill and the smooth running of IT systems, ERP systems, software, website and hardware, which is imperative for the growth of the company. They’re constantly looking at new technologies and software to help our fast-paced growing company keep ahead of the curve.
As the IT Technical Support person, you will have a mixed role, partly reactive and partly pro-active. Reactive areas include providing 1st line support to all staff in problem solving, both software systems/applications and also hardware, and escalating to 2nd/3rd line support partners where appropriate. The pro-active side will focus more on monitoring endpoint devices, and ensuring software/hardware is all up-to-date etc. You will also be required to provide administration support to the IT Manager.
This role is perfect for someone who has a technical mindset, and loves a busy and varied role, as well as interacting with all areas of the company!
Skills and Experience Required:
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11 and cloud-based technologies
- Good understanding of ERP software systems (NetSuite experience a bonus)
- Hardware troubleshooting / repair skills
- Ability to think logically and technically, and understand system processes
- A good memory how software and operating systems work
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise your workload, and balance reactive and proactive work
- Good understanding of Networks and infrastructure
