Role Summary
The Relationship Manager is responsible for overseeing a book of client portfolios assigned to them. RMs are expected to work at ensuring client deliverables are managed & addressed as outlined in contracts for each client relationship profile.
Relationship Managers are expected to develop strong cross functional relationships at the peer level of our clients’ organizations to effectively identify and capitalize on all business-related opportunities.
Relationship Managers are responsible for proactively following up on all requests and managing both client requests and AST business objectives outlined by Senior Leadership.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Ability to execute client visits in partnership with a Team Leader and perform service reviews to ensure clients satisfaction
- Attend annual meetings as an inspector of election utilizing outlined protocol and become knowledgeable of the requirements of an inspector of election
- Some knowledge of Corporate Actions processes such as: reverse splits, tenders, subscriptions and Rights agreements
- Prioritize receivables to ensure collection activity is executed as outlined in client contracts (30/60/90 days)
- Maintain consistent communication with Operations to ensure client requests are processed in a timely fashion
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of all account plans
- Manage and respond to all client inquiries and correspondence in close partnership with TA Operations Teams
- Ensure optimization client relationships to maximize revenue opportunities and create visibility for the AST brand
- Take proactive steps to gain product knowledge and support the facilitation of upsells
- Utilize software to keep each client profile current and accurate
- Drafting internal and external letters and documents
- Ensures proactive responsiveness to clients
- Fosters & maintains internal and external relationships to facilitate all assigned duties and responsibilities
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve client concerns
- Recommend and implement service enhancements, developments or solutions to meet customer needs beyond our standard service offerings.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 1 – 3 years in a client services role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize client request by urgency level
- Experience reading and interpreting basic legal documents
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- May require the need to travel to other locations.
- Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office suite
Compensation
- $125,000-135,000 per year
