Job Purpose

To oversee and lead the Reception team whilst providing an immediately identifiable, approachable welcome within the club and the provision of excellent customer service for members and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Reception function, including positive line management of two Club Receptionists.
  • Weekly reporting of member issues/feedback/compliments.
  • Produce the VIP status report.
  • Sonato visitors report update and feedback.
  • Seven Rooms reporting: pacing of covers, peak times, future bookings, trends.
  • System training for new staff.
  • Conduct briefings for reservations team for upcoming partnerships/activations so they can communicate to members.
  • Attend manager meetings when required.
  • Meet and greet members and visitors as soon as they arrive, providing a warm and inviting welcome and 5* service to everyone who enters the club.
  • Identify the needs of our members’ and guests together with opportunities for communicating and upselling our services to support their AllBright experience.
  • Build rapport with members to create a friendly and familiar environment, going the extra mile, create an engaging and relaxing environment for them.
  • Be the first point of contact for members and guests, representing the AllBright ethos, breathing life into the club.
  • Take reservations via phone, email, and face to face, identifying opportunities to upsell, offer alternatives and add-ons.
  • Answer phone calls and emails in a timely, friendly, and professional manner, assisting with enquiries or directing to the appropriate person.
  • Ensure the member journey and experience is second to none, identifying any issues or opportunities to improve, and communicating these to management.
  • Ensure the Reception area is clean, tidy, and well stocked.
  • Conduct tours of the facilities in the absence of the membership team.
  • Receive F&B orders for members and guests on check in for appointments.
  • Assist the F&B and operations teams as and when required.
  • Assist the events team with organisation of club events.

General Responsibilities

  • Undertake any additional duties as reasonably directed by management.
  • Always adhere to company practices and procedures.
  • Assist any guests who may have special needs in moving around the building.
  • Promptly report any customer complaints to the manager on duty.
  • Ensure good communication with all colleagues and supervisors
  • Handle lost property.

Person Specification

  • Previous leadership/management experience in hospitality and/or reception teams.
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a busy reception/customer focused role, ideally in a member’s club or 5* establishment
  • Warm, friendly, compassionate, and approachable.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile for our members.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask whilst remaining calm.
  • Adaptable and customer focused.
  • An interest in events.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Professionalism.
  • High energy.
  • Ability to resolve complaints.
  • Able to work effectively with computerised systems like MS Office XP, Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of dealing with high profile people.
  • Strong customer care ethic and ability to build relationships.
  • Knowledge of restaurants, floor plans and turning tables.
