Job description
Links Medical Practice currently has two vacancies for a friendly, helpful and motivated Medical Receptionist/Administrator working 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday. Practice operates between 8:00am - 6:30pm. Working hours would be either 10:00am - 6:00pm or 10:30am - 6:30pm, however, some flexibility in hours of work may be required to cover holiday/illness.
The duties include:
- Dealing with patient appointments – both at reception and over the phone
- Registering and maintaining patient records
- Dealing with patient queries (including requests for prescriptions, test results and general information)
- Using software (Vision, Docman, SCI, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
- Any other administration duties as and when required

- Communicate well with others – both patients and colleagues
- Respond quickly, efficiently and helpfully to all enquiries and requests
- Take care when completing tasks to make sure that your work is accurate
- Deal with and adapt to changing demands and priorities
- Help and support your colleagues
- Listen to others, ask the right questions and understand what are you being asked to do – asking for help when you need it
- Deal with the difficult situations in a calm and professional manner
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
