ABOUT THE ROLE.
Innovation is part of our DNA at McCain, and this role makes no excuses in pushing boundaries to play a key part in delivering our ambitious growth plans.
We have set strategic goals to expand our standing as a world leader in potato and appetisers products and have recently acquired a number of businesses to expand our offerings in our QSR (quick service restaurants) retail and foodservice areas.
As Innovations Project Manager it would be your role to lead the delivery of key Innovation initiatives across our business. In a dynamic and changing environment this role will span the management of complex internal projects, the integration of new business acquisitions and developing relationships with an increasing network of 3rd party suppliers.
This role plays an integral part of keeping our strategic pillars on track and keeping all the parts moving in sync – the ‘growth engine’ to deliver our ambitious business plans!

Reporting into our Director, Marketing - Innovation & Insight you would also…
Lead the delivery of strategic Innovation projects to create a ‘Future Fit’ product portfolio to meet our growth ambitions.- Project Manage our Global Innovation initiatives led by the GB region in partnership with the Global project team to deliver launches in multiple regions.
- Manage Private Label launches, developing strong working relationships with customer stakeholders.

Support the development and management of a broader 3rd party manufacturing network
- Form and manage project teams across McCain departments and supply partner functions to deliver innovation initiatives
- Support in developing the governance process for new suppliers and writing a ‘playbook’ for future development

Lead cross-functional teams to ensure all elements of the Innovation process are completed on time…
- Define objectives and project scope, identifying risks to successful delivery
- Identify and recruit project team members, agreeing roles and responsibilities
- Create and maintain project and timing plans

ABOUT YOU.
We are looking for a strong Project Manager who can balance a lot of spinning plates – but it’s also important that you have previously worked in FMCG or Consumer Brands. This role will get down to the nitty gritty of dealing with lots of varying complex projects, so having the knowledge of product launches is crucial.
You must also have the following experience:
- Ability to work lots of people across the McCain organisation. From our VP’s / Board of Directors to senior external business partners and also within the McCain network across the globe
- Clear, relentless communication (non-negotiable)
- Experience of leading cross-functional teams
- A commercial eye – a strong awareness of managing P&L
- Product Management background
- Knowledge of NPD process
- Understanding of end to end supply chains

Our HQ is based on Scarborough, North Yorkshire!
