SPT – Senior Project Manager (Delivery)
Glasgow – Permanent contract
Salary circa £60,000 per annum, annual bonus up to 15% and single health cover

Working as part of our Energy Networks business you will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of capital projects that will be delivered safely and without adverse impact to the environment, meeting our customers expectations, within an authorise budget and to a high standard of quality within the required timescales.
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for the management of identified projects throughout their full lifecycle from development through to final closeout. You will also be responsible for the delivery of outputs, incentive metrics and milestones in line with business targets and effectively manage project risks and mitigate the impact of any issues that may emerge. Ensuring compliance within the Scottish Power Energy Networks integrated management system and the Scottish Power Transmission projects quality plan. We will look to you to be responsible for the correct management and administration of contracts and develop over time accurate capital expenditure forecasts and output projections.
In conjunction with our construction teams you will ensure that construction sites are managed in a safe manner and that environmental risks are suitably mitigated. With the support of your team, you’ll drive continual improvement by completing project and contract reviews, identifying lessons learned and sharing these with the wider business, making proposals and introducing changes for best project management practice and behaviour across the wider project portfolio.
What you’ll bring
To join you will have significant experience in managing utility transmission projects with project management methodology experience or qualifications. We will also look for you to have contract management experience, NEC3 would be desirable. You will be required to plan and organise the resourcing associated with the project delivery of your projects which will be over the full duration which in many cases will be over two to five years. We will also look for you to interface closely with purchasing to support and propose purchasing strategies to deliver contract savings and reduce procurement and tender costs.
Minimum Criteria:
Significant experience within Project Management
Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience.
Driving license - Requirement to travel across all SPEN locations.
