Job description
We have the opportunity to provide a dedicated support service to NHS Lanarkshire, PSSD. You will provide a comprehensive professional multi-disciplined Project Management service. This will be within a PSSD team, working in the development and execution of projects comprising: statutory compliance works, building extensions, new build properties, alterations, refurbishments and general upgrading of building fabric and engineering services. This is within long-term strategic programmes (statutory plan, backlog maintenance and clinical service development) and ad hoc minor works projects. This role will include the monitoring and review of the Capital Plan and Minor Works Capital Plan incorporating the requirements of the SCART statutory compliance system as well as ensuring EAMS information is communicated to the relevant departments.
Knowledge, Training And/Or Experience Required To Do The Job
- Relevant Degree or equivalent in an Estates-related subject, e.g. electrical or mechanical engineering, or building construction, supplemented by specialist knowledge acquired through CPD post-graduate courses/training.
- NEC 3 or 4 Accredited Project Manager
- NEC 3 or 4 Accredited Supervisor
- Membership of a related professional institution, e.g. IHEEM, CIOB, RICS, IET, IOSH.
- The post holder will have worked within the health service profession and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of building services and/or building construction, also specialist systems unique to the health service.
- Excellent communication skills.
