Job description
The purpose of the role is to lead, coordinate and support the delivery of the overall Outstanding Outpatients Programme and the individual schemes within, standardising and embedding good practice across the organisation.
Promoting improvements in utilisation, reductions in cancellations and getting patient pathways right first time (Inc. reducing New to Follow Up ratios and PIFU) to maximise the productivity of both human and physical resources.
You would establish and co-ordinate strong governance processes, maintain and monitor documentation and report on the overall programme and the individual schemes. Working with the senior management team and clinical leads to achieve improvements in patient and staff experiences, qualitative benefits and financial gains through effective deployment of scarce resources
The post holder will support Divisions/Corporate Directorates to ensure the ‘Outpatient’ work streams are planned, managed effectively, and delivered within agreed timelines.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Providing oversight and direction for the work stream projects, including the development of project plans, ensuring consistency with the Trust’s strategic vision, goals and objectives.
- Planning, negotiating and offering expert advice to ensure sufficient project management resources are available to undertake the project in the given timescales.
- Provide clear support to assigned projects, be a positive role model and actively promote the Trust’s vision, strategic aims and values supporting the drive towards a culture of continuous improvement across the trust.
