What you will be doing...

We're looking for a Senior Product Owner to help improve our customers holiday experience.

At Jet2 we're flying around 14 million passengers this year, that's a lot of the nation, and we want everybody to enjoy that time as much as they can. We are also growing the business and increasing the size of our network and we know we can do more for our customers. We understand digital is at the heart of every experience within our lives today and we embrace that so we can maximise our customers enjoyment when holidaying with us.

Customers trust us and spend their hard-earned money with us for some of the most important weeks of their year, creating memories that will last a lifetime. That's important and we must get it right. To do this we need to make it easy to search and book, deliver our schedule on time and safely, and create holiday experiences while always ensuring our customers have peace of mind that Jet2 is always with them to help. To do that it takes a committed team alongside a lot of digital tools to make it happen. We need to deliver great digital experiences for our customers, but we also need to provide those experiences to our colleagues and suppliers to help create and facilitate the Jet2 experience.

We have a vast estate of digital products, data and processes and our Product Owners are at the forefront of building and improving these. As a Senior PO, you'll work across large areas of the business, such as pre booking, post booking, finance and legal, airline and holiday operations, or business continuity. Working in a dynamic, fast paced environment, you’ll adapt quickly to changes. You'll help define product strategy, ideate and create solutions that deliver for our customers, colleagues and supply chain, alongside delivering the operational and financial targets of the business.

What you'll be doing:
  • Gain a deep understanding of our customer, helping build a product strategy to deliver the best experiences within your area of ownership
  • Work in and help lead multi-disciplinary teams from across the business to validate, grow and scale ideas that our customers, colleagues and supply chain love.
  • Validate the feasibility and deliver solutions that our users want and delivers against our business objectives
  • Defining problem statements, creating and validating ideas, shipping releases, all with purpose and reason.
  • Owning problems and outcomes, using data to track metrics that are important, and showing that you are improving them based on a clear set of objectives.
  • Supporting delivery functions and helping manage backlogs to build customer centric technology products.

To do this you will:
  • Work hand in hand with internal departments to understand the needs of the business.
  • Work closely with counterparts in design, business analysis and software engineering to define solutions
  • Help facilitate problem solving, you are not the person with all the ideas, ideas can come from anywhere, you need a framework to help create best solutions.
  • Keep everyone who needs to know in the know, whether that's defining objectives, prioritising and agreeing roadmaps or keeping people informed of releases and recent successes (or failures)
  • Line manage more junior product roles when the strategy requires it.

What you will need:
  • A strong track record of shipping great products that users love.
  • To be experienced in working closely with UX design and software engineering
  • To be comfortable of being accountable against agreed objectives and outcomes
  • A framework to create ideas and validate solutions to deliver against clear objectives
  • Experience in utilising data and be comfortable using it to highlight performance
  • To be an effective communicator at all levels and areas of the business with strong stakeholder management skills
  • To be an advocate for change and support product-led culture across the organisation.
  • To be comfortable line managing or would like to move into line management of product people.

What can we offer you?
  • Hybrid working
  • Competitive salary, with annual pay review
  • Contributory pension
  • 34 days holidays (including Bank Holidays)
  • 3 x salary life assurance
  • Generous Discretionary Profit Share Scheme
  • Colleagues discount on Jet2Holidays and Jet2.com holidays and flights
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Access to Mental Health First Aiders
  • Many retail discounts on travel and leisure, health and wellbeing, eating out and lifestyle

We offer an excellent remuneration package with fantastic opportunities for progression in a growing business.

This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting, forward-thinking business. We operate scheduled leisure flights to holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and to European Leisure Cities from our 10 UK bases.
