Condé Nast is seeking an innovative, collaborative, and proven Senior Product Manager to help develop new features that will improve our on-site video experience. This will be a fixed term contract role until October 2023.
You will be responsible for the development and testing of new features aimed at increasing active watch time on our sites and finding the balance between video ad revenue density and video engagement. You will serve as a product liaison between the Condé Nast technology teams, video executives, and the editorial leadership of our sites. You will gather requirements for the development of on-site video experiences based on analyses of customer behaviour and needs. You will gain buy-in from senior level stakeholders, define the prioritisation of features & user stories, work with the multi-discipline teams to implement product features, and measure the impact of these changes. You will be responsible for working across the organization to amplify the livestream experience for big tentpole moments like The Met Gala and the Vanity Fair Oscars Party.
You will need to work closely with other Product Managers, Product Designers, and Engineers to build features that will support all of our brands across all of our markets.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct the prioritisation of efforts focused on growing our on-site video engagement globally.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and product teams to define roadmaps and execute on them.
  • Oversee a calendar of important video premieres and “brand tentpoles”, help define the experiences associated with these moments, and project manage their execution.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our content management systems. Locate gaps in functionality as they pertain to video/events promotion and experience.
  • Train editors and web producers across the organisation on best practices for the integration of video on our sites.
  • Partner with design, engineering, site directors, ops team members, social media managers, and newsletter producers in order to create best in-class video experiences and incorporate them more fully into the stories we are already telling.
  • Field inbound questions and concerns from users looking to promote video and events on sites. Translate feature requests into requirements and assist in their prioritisation.
  • Work with the commercial team on the promotion of special sponsorship opportunities.
  • Partner with the ad technology team to test ad changes that increase video viewership while maintaining our existing video ad business.
  • Perform acceptance testing for new features.
Requirements:
  • Strong product management experience.
  • Experience working on digital publishing and multimedia storytelling.
  • Experience sizing and prioritising opportunities, writing technical requirements, and working closely with engineers and designers.
  • Strong communication and project management skills and the ability to manage timelines across multiple teams.
  • Experience working closely and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • A strong interest in the process and tools associated with how best-in-class video is produced.
  • Comfort with developing and measuring product KPI’s.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Ad Manager.
  • Experience with video and/or audio software development tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, javascript, and SQL.
  • Patience, a positive outlook, and a can-do attitude.
