What does this role offer?
Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will support the delivery of the product development strategy, working directly with Brand Managers and major retailer accounts developing to agreed briefs and critical paths. With responsibility for product development from concept to launch, you will also cover the maintenance of existing products to ensure legislative compliance and competitive advantage, across a diverse product portfolio. This is a broad and challenging role where cross functional working is key, whilst the ability to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, professional advisors and official bodies is critical too.
With involvement in all aspects of NPD/EPD, you will work closely with the Process and Technical teams to ensure
that all documentation is in place from ideation, through to product brief and handing over a fully scaled up product to our manufacturing team.
What are we looking for?
You will have a food related qualification [degree or equivalent] with a strong understanding of product development and factory processes. We are looking for someone with plenty of energy and drive, and the aptitude to work in a fast moving and dynamic team that is focused on delivering results. It is essential that you can learn quickly, have a can-do attitude, and have a hunger to develop your career. You will have demonstrable experience of food product & processing in a factory environment, excellent communication skills and be comfortable spending your time in the factory, NPD Kitchen, Office/WFH and with customers on and off site.
