About our Supplier Operations Team:
As Monzo scales and speeds up the pace of its innovation, our Supplier Operations team is playing an increasingly critical role in sourcing 3rd parties to help us achieve our goals. This role will be an integral party of our Supplier Operations team, working across all things related to procurement.
What you'll be working on
You will work collaboratively across our various collectives to translate business objectives into competitive processes, to get the best commercial deal without compromising on quality, service or risk appetite.
You will help professionalise our operation, by bringing your experience and ideas to scale and upskill our team and deputise for our team leader.
To succeed, you should be happy working across all categories of procurement, but especially comfortable with third parties that deliver technology/software solutions and have a solid understanding of data privacy principles to support this.
Day to day you will help bring on new partners by sourcing, negotiating, completing due diligence, developing contractual agreements alongside offering advice, support and training to internal teams.
After the deal is signed, you will play a role in account management, helping our collectives make the best use of their 3rd parties and ensure that ongoing risks are appropriately managed.
Day-to-day you'll spend your time:
- Developing and maintaining long term relationships with suppliers
- Working with the business to deliver the best commercial arrangement without compromising on quality, service or risk appetite
- Playing an integral part of the team that helps onboard new Third Parties
- Being a company expert on procurement, commercial and relationship management
- Collaborating across the business - both customer facing teams (e.g. Personal Banking) and key internal teams (e.g. Legal, Privacy)
- Documenting and maintaining accurate information about the supplier/contracts in our vendor management system
- Continuously improving our vendor lifecycle
You should apply if:
- You have robust experience with global or multi-entity deals (£50m + deals)
- You have experience with 3rd parties that deliver Technology and Software solutions
- You have strong influencing & collaboration skills: Able to gain stakeholder buy-in
- You have an understanding of information security and cyber risk
Desirable but not essential:
- Managerial experience
- You have a good understanding of the regulations governing outsourcing in banking and financial services such as those produced by the EBA, FCA (SYSC), and the upcoming consultation paper by the PRA
- You have experience of procure to pay/ERP
The Interview Process:
Our interview process involves 4 main stages which will be conducted via GoogleMeet:
- Screening call with Monzo Recruiter (30 mins)
- Initial Technical Call with Hiring Manager (45 mins)
- Case Study Session (60 mins)
- Competency Based Interview (45 mins)
