As a Senior Pricing and Packaging Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting Staffbase's growth and profitability objectives. You will act as a key strategic advisor with decision making authorities to the cross-functional GTM organziation. The role will require you to foster relationships with customer facing roles to drive business outcomes. You will help define, optimise and maintain our overall pricing and packaging strategy across all products and market segments, reporting into our global product marketing organization.
What you'll be doing:
- Pricing and packaging roadmapping: Understanding the near and long term requirements from the business, and from there create structured pricing and packaging solutions to support these
- Optimization: Optimizing product packaging and pricing by analyzing sales, competitive and product usage information that may drive changes in pricing, discounting guidance and feature bundling
- Project management: Owning the packaging and pricing strategy for specific initiatives, such as product launches, including framing strategic considerations, creating potential solutions, analyzing options, collaborating with senior executives, incorporating industry learnings, and driving towards a decision
- Performance analysis: Analyzing results from qualitative (interviews/focus groups) and quantitative (surveys) studies to drive customer segmentation, determine willingness to pay and create financial projections/models
- Trend identification: Analyzing sales trends and drivers of win/loss rates, sales team performance, churn/renewal rates and incentives/promotions effectiveness to improve sales effectiveness and increase revenue through optimized pricing/bundling
- Strategy and tactic creation: Working with the executive team, sales operations, sales and marketing to design targeted campaigns, discounts and payment terms to hit sales targets
- Market research: Analyzing market dynamics and understanding different pricing strategies in different markets based on maturity, competition, economic factors etc
What you need to be successful:
- Relevant bachelor's degree and proven expertise in one or more of the following areas: business development, financial analysis, revenue modeling, product packaging, and pricing strategy
- Prior consulting experience or experience in a SaaS pricing and product team is a plus
- You can manage complex projects across multiple departments and stakeholders
- You are an excellent communicator and problem solver
- You think strategically and are highly structured in delivery, able to manage multiple stakeholders, inputs, and work streams
- You can synthesize different data sources, design cohesive strategies and sell your ideas to the business
- You're highly organized and able to manage as well as measure the impact of your work
- You have a strong sense of accountability and can think creatively when it comes to matching sales needs with creative solutions
- You have experience with CRM solutions and supporting a global B2B sales team
- You speak business English with German being a plus
- You're available for occasional business travel
