The Web Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring web projects of all sizes are delivered to the highest standard. They oversee the development of web projects from the inception stage to the live online deployment thereof. They collaborate with stakeholders on the scope of web-based projects, lead teams in the development of web products, and prepare project status reports. They will be working alongside multifaceted team members in the web division, which will include web developers, designers, content creators and testers.
Responsibilities
- Project managing bespoke website builds from conceptualisation to live online deployment
- Consulting with internal stakeholders to determine the website's desired appearance and functionalities.
- Conceptualising the website design process and leading the IT development team.
- Developing user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces, and performing SEO procedures.
- Integrating images, embedding videos, and adding plugins.
- Troubleshooting and testing prototypes, as well as monitoring the live deployment of the product.
- Performing Common Gateway Interface (CGI) and code checks to optimize website performance.
- Providing mentorship to junior developers and facilitating suitable interventions to deliver the project on time and within budget.
- Documenting website development processes and procedures.
- Preparing project progress updates for senior executives and performing website demonstrations.
- Keeping abreast of developments and trends in website design.
This will be a very rewarding role but can also be demanding at times when there is pressure from our clients. It's all part of the game of Growth.
Key Skills (Essential):
- Minimum of 4+ years in managing website projects of all sizes
- Must demonstrate which websites they have project managed
- Bachelor's degree in computer science with coursework in graphic design, web development, or similar.
- Extensive knowledge of advancements and trends in web design, PHP and WordPress
- Extensive experience in working with WordPress, PHP and Laravel systems
- Exceptional ability to contribute creativity and innovation to web projects.
- Superb leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adhere to, refine and build out better processes
- Ability to work remote and part of a virtual team
- Ability to work proactively as well as re-actively
- Ability to share clear messages where there may be complex ideas involved
- Be able to think outside the box
Key Skills (Desirable):
- Programming in PHP or WordPress
