George Brand Senior Press Officer (C8 Home)

The George PR team are looking for a George Brand Senior Press Officer, overseeing the Home category of the George business.
Job Introduction
As an integral part of the team responsible for PR at George, you will support the delivery of the overall PR strategy with a focus on amplifying the Home categories. As Senior Press Officer you will be responsible for an ongoing drumbeat of brand amplification, whilst being responsible for the day to day delivery of proactive and positive media coverage across a variety of media communication channels.
- Work alongside the Senior PR Manager to deliver the PR strategies for George Home
- Ensure consistent visibility of George home categories via organic media and social engagement
- Lead the strategy for Product//Product curation. Focusing on delivering consistent and strong results both in print and online
- Collaborate with Lifestyle and Sustainability teams to deliver 360 results to enhance George's position in newness and innovation
- Identify new opportunities and strengthen George's relationships locally and nationally, across Editors, Stylists, People of Influence and Creator network.
- Manage day to day activity with PR agency, Coelho Comms
- Partner with business divisions including Buying, Marketing, Editorial, SEO & Affiliates to provide dual-purpose support to the business – driving traffic to George.com
- Work alongside the wider George brand team, supporting them to ensure products are always well represented and in the right publications both in print and online
- Be an expert in the Home category landscape, and an ambassador for George internally and externally
The Ideal Candidate
- At least 3 years' experience at agency or in house
- Strong relationships with a range of home & lifestyle media contacts
- Proven ability to generate high quality media coverage with a 360-comms approach
- Ability to work on multiple projects across categories at any one time
- Excellent creative writing and presentation skills
- Understanding of working across teams and with many internal and external stakeholders to deliver business objectives
- Enthusiasm and interest in sustainability, particularly within home and interiors.
