Are you ready to take the next step? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the team and develop their clinical and managerial skills across Acute Medicine and Medicine for the Older Person at Peterborough City Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and professional individual to join our multi-disciplinary team. The team is responsible for the assessment and treatment of a wide variety of patients and facilitating safe, timely discharges, focusing on Discharge to Assess. This static post will support career and personal development through;
- Clinical Specialist support
- Protected non clinical SPA time
- Active engagement in service development
- Regular Clinical Supervision
- Joint working / Direct Observations of Practice
- To enable Physiotherapy to provide Therapy Skills within the inpatient service
- To ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of patient focussed care in line with identified evidence based practice, local and national standards
- To work collaboratively within Multidisciplinary and Multi-agency Teams
- To participate in delegated projects for service development with the team
- To act autonomously in the assessment and treatment of patients within the speciality who may have a complex presentation
- To demonstrate a flexible approach to working in support of the whole in patient/out patient team
- To undertake weekend working as required within service developments
- To be available to provide Clinical Supervision
- This role entails 80% Clinical Contact and 20% Operational Management as appropriate within team requirements
- To guide Band 5 and support staff in the management and delivery of therapeutic care plans
