The role and who we are looking for
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our Operations department. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will help to develop and deliver the Firm’s operational strategy.
The successful candidate will have experience in developing and delivering innovative operational solutions within a professional services environment, ideally within a legal setting. You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of driving high-quality client service, improving efficiencies and facilitating effective change management.
The position would suit someone with an open, collaborative and confident approach to communicating and working with a diverse set of stakeholders across the Firm. The ideal candidate will have hands-on approach, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage and plan your time effectively. What you’ll do
The successful candidate will play a key role within the Operations team and the wider Firm. Typical day to day duties will include:
Operations
- Working with departments to carry out ongoing reviews and analysis of operational processes. Sharing best practice, highlighting risks and opportunities and driving new tools, innovations and software.
- Leading with an ethos of continuous improvement by encouraging open feedback, problem solving, and driving Firm engagement.
- Creating and leading positive transformation projects and change across the firm, including the delivery of any associated training.
- Helping the IT department to successfully drive any new technology initiatives within the Firm.
- Working with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure operational processes remain fully compliant at all times.
- Managing and working alongside the Business Support Manager to help define core metrics, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and to support the overall operational effectiveness of the Business Support functions across the Firm.
Client Care
- Maintaining and enhancing the overall client experience to ensure efficiencies, accuracy and time scales are met in line with our Promise to clients, including planning and implementing a process to ascertain ongoing client feedback and to put in place a system for improvement, as necessary.
- Facilitating an exceptional client journey by reviewing, developing and implementing operational processes. Working closely with the Business Support Manager to ensure that these processes are being consistently adhered to across the firm.
- Working closely and developing relationships with all departments and fee earners within the firm to understand their clients and associated requirements.
Premises
- Project managing all improvement projects on the premises and managing the office space, including working with the Chief Operating Officer on capacity planning.
- Working with our contractors to ensure the premises are professionally managed to a high standard by implementing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and working with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure the premises remain legally compliant (including health & safety standards).
- Dealing with premises security, car park management, waste management and any other associated office management. Being on-call, where absolutely necessary, to assist with any incident management.
- Co-ordination, management and resolution of the firm fleet.
- Continuously considering and supporting the Firm’s Environment, Social and Government policies.
