The company is from the founder of one of the UK’s most successful Immersive Theatre experiences and promises to further push the boundaries of what people come to expect from entertainment with the world’s first real-life video game attraction.
This unbelievably exciting experience will combine the worlds of Competitive Socialising and Augmented Reality in order to bring the world an entirely unique and new leisure activity that channels the nostalgia of classic video games.

Purpose of the role
As the Senior Operations Manager, you will be directly responsible for the leadership of our delivery capabilities including project management and overall resource management. You will be responsible for consistently achieving quality, timely and cost-effective delivery on all Chaos Karts sites. You will be responsible for the ownership of our overall approach to delivery across the business, creating and evolving standards and processes to continuously improve the quality, efficiency, and responsiveness.
You will be expected to take responsibility for ensuring that all projects are set-up for success and that work is delivered profitably. You will be expected to apply your skills and experience to solve issues that impact delivery profitability, actively manage resource and third-party project cost, and seek new ways to drive efficiencies across the business and new sites.
We are looking for a hard-working and experienced team player with specific skills to become a key contributor to our product. This role is crucial to the growth strategy of the business.
Key Accountabilities
Commercial Awareness
- To be aware of, understand and work towards the Company’s vision and business objectives
- Create the measures used to monitor the Company’s performance and contribute accordingly to meet them
- Support the CEO in deal making, ensuring our expansion can be realised through excellent operational execution
- Create strategic partnerships with mutual benefit realisation
- Have control of the costs for the attraction and help deliver annual EBITDA targets.
- Identify and exploit opportunities for commercial growth, through driving the sales line and converting profit at a better rates
- Manage relationships with important stakeholders to ensure effective communication throughout the opening of a new site
- Report on project budget, tracking delivery against target margins through efficient project delivery
- To consider issues relating to the company’s growth, taking into consideration team dynamics, client acquisition, new business areas etc. and offer suggestions for how the company could better achieve its objectives
- Maintain and nurture strong working relationships to ensure effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of our strategic objectives.
- Evaluate overall company performance by gathering, analysing, and interpreting data and metrics
- Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to operational functions and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position
- Evolve Chaos Kart’s strategy to maximise the scope and impact of new sites
- Continuously develop and product offering by analysis of performance to inform future planning
- Advise Finance and Technical Production teams on contractual rights and obligations
- Cultivate strong relationships with multiple senior stakeholders using a consultative approach
Operations
- Create a robust operational infrastructure in multi-location sites, geared to deliver a first-class customer experience in every location, every time
- Direct all operational elements supporting the execution of our company strategy
- Responsible for the delivery by third parties, ensuring they met all timeframes within your instruction
- Ensure successful management of project expectations, keeping stakeholders informed of the progress of projects and dealing with or escalating any issues efficiently

- Develop and control operational budgets to promote profitability, ensuring the company has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters.
- Evaluate overall company performance by gathering, analysing, and interpreting data and metrics
- Keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position
- Oversee the establishment of a healthy, positive, and safe work environment in accordance with all current legislation and regulations
- Carry out due diligence on suppliers for financial robustness and quality of work and delivery
People Management
- Drive and lead the team to deliver the Company business strategy, taking responsibility for driving effective delivery of client work
- Talent development and collaborative with a keen passion for building diverse and engaged teams that achieve their goals.
- Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organisation as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges
- Provide timely feedback and mentoring to team members throughout the opening of new sites
- Champion the importance of teamwork and motivates others around them
- Keep abreast of industry trends and releases, sharing these with the wider team
- Strengthen team dynamics and fosters strong relationships across the business
Role Requirements
Essential
- Experience in a Senior Operations position within our sector - ideally within a visitor attraction, theme park, museum, hotel, theatre, entertainment, or tech environment would be an excellent asset.
- International experience within the industry
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, managing these relationships to a high standard using a consultative approach
- Strong experience, authority, and acumen in engaging with Directors, technicians, and senior management level decision makers
- Management and leadership experience within a diverse team
- Ability to cope with high volume workload under time pressure, to work independently where required and to a high professional standard
- Excellent drafting and communication skills; accuracy and attention to detail essential
- Flexibility and good interpersonal skills, with proactive can-do approach and ability to work as part of a team across business areas
- Demonstrate complex problem solving and critical thinking skills with strong judgment and decision making
- Be encouraging and supportive of new and innovative ideas from all team members on how to improve the product offering
- Able to create a culture of trust and empowerment
