Responsibilities:
- Predict Pore Pressure in reservoirs for Development wells (both Reservoir and Overburden/Underburden)
- Predict Borehole Stability & Fracture Gradient (working closely with Geomechanics)
- Geohazard assessments (incl. input during Well Trajectory Sessions and PPP reviews with Well Engineering.
- Management of Change (MOC) during well execution (esp. HPHT wells) Accountabilities:
- Provide Safety leadership in all aspects of operational delivery of operated wells (esp. HPHT).
- Drive operational excellence leveraging significant experience gained on both the company and 3rd party well operations.
- Provide Pore Pressure Prediction (PPP) expertise with emphasis on real-time pore pressure monitoring/updates.
- Responsible for technical coaching of less experienced PGs in Operations Geology roles
Experience & Qualifications:
- Supports safe delivery of operated wells on the company's drilling sequence leveraging expert level of knowledge.
- Provides additional advice/support to JV well delivery (on ad-hoc basis as need arises).
- Role enables other PGs to continue to focus on and deliver further HCM growth and WRFM opportunities.
- Significant offshore and onshore experience in the safe operational delivery of wells (incl. wellsite supervision).
- Expert level knowledge and experience in all aspects of drilling operations and Operations/Wellsite Geology.
