Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Production Administrator with exceptional IT skills and a degree-level qualification. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in works order generation and tracking within the manufacturing sector, specifically in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The candidate should possess a thorough understanding of production processes, inventory management, and quality control measures. The primary responsibility will be to oversee, and streamline works order generation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works Order Generation:
- Collaborate with production and sales teams to gather all necessary information and specifications for new products to be manufactured with the correct BOM.
- Ensure all information on the WO is accurate including product details, quantities, deadlines, and any specific customer requirements.
Works Order Status:
- Implement and manage a robust works order status system to monitor the progress of production orders and update the system as required.
Tracking:
- Regularly update and communicate the status of works orders to relevant stakeholders, such as production managers, procurement teams, and customer service representatives.
- Identify and resolve any bottlenecks or delays in the works order process to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Production Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with production managers to create and maintain an efficient production schedule based on works orders, resource availability, and customer demands.
- Coordinate with various departments, including procurement, logistics, and quality control, to ensure seamless execution of production plans.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as production cycle time, productivity, and utilization, to identify areas for improvement.
IT Systems and Tools:
- Leverage strong IT skills to effectively utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant tools for works order generation, tracking, and data analysis.
- Provide training and support to team members on using IT systems and related tools.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a production administrator, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in works order generation and tracking processes within the manufacturing sector, particularly in SMEs.
- Proficient in using IT systems and software for works order management and data analysis.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
