Duties/Responsibilities
To provide a sustainable, cost effective procurement and supply chain service to EMCOR’s client accounts, specifically GSK.
Working with the operational team to obtain products and services from the supply chain, in line with company policy delivering value for money, quality, and reliability.
Working with the account team to demonstrate transparent VFM to the GSK customer.
Working with the wider Supply Chain Team in the progression and implementation of preferred suppliers into the business, Supplier Relationship Management & Supplier Measurement and sustainability.
Supporting the strategic objectives of the wider Supply Chain Department including Financial & Sustainability , embracing our value A Better World at Work.
Following EMCOR UK company policy and procedures in full compliance with business governance.
Proactively negotiate, manage and build appropriate relationships with key approved suppliers. Identify, select and develop new suppliers to meet future business needs
Propose, implement and manage proactive cost reduction and supplier improvement programmes within and across regional teams, delivering personal and team targets.
Provide support to the operational teams with the implementation of new contracts (mobilisations and renewals,)
Enhance the value of supply chain to the customer
Participate in cross-functional project teams initiatives/ work activity.
Influence and support the transition and implementation from non-preferred to preferred suppliers where possible in line with BRAG activity.
Carry out preferred and approved supplier operational reviews
First point of escalation for supplier issues
Manage internal customer relationships, providing a flexible responsive customer service for all internal customer specific requests/needs
Assist in the development and management of suppliers to support business/ account requirements.
Minimise contractual risk by using appropriate contract terms and conditions.
Integration of ISO20400 Sustainable Procurement, identifying opportunities to drive innovation, and improve sustainability
Person Specification
- Experience of supply chain management is essential
- A can-do style, always demonstrating professional behaviours
- Ability to follow Procurement Processes preferably from within the FM industry
- Negotiation skills
- Commercial awareness
- Good IT skills including Word and Excel
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Achieved or working towards CIPS membership
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships
- Able to work individually and as part of a team – a keen interest in collaboration
- Problem solving skills
- Experience / interest in sustainable procurement initiatives
- Experience of working in Pharmaceuticals, GXP experience would be useful.
- Clean driving licence and willing to travel is essential
- Providing procurement support and advice for contracts on-site.
